Year of Consecrated Life (Nov 30, 2014 – Feb, 2016)

Pray for all religious, they are a gift for the People of God on its Journey.”  Pope Franc

Eucharistic Adoration every Friday from 9:30-6:30.

Father, The image of the Virgin is found in your Church. Mary had a faith that your Spirit prepared and a love that  never knew sin, for you kept her sinless from the first moment of her conception. Trace in our actions the lines of her love, in our hearts her readiness of faith. Prepare once again a world for your Son who lives and reigns with your and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen

    Welcome to

     St. Ann’s Catholic Church

Ash Wednesday Mass:    5:15 pm St. Ann’s    7:00 pm Sacred Heart

A day of Fast and Abstinence

During Lent, the Church asks us to surrender ourselves to prayer and to the reading of Scripture, to fasting and to giving alms.

The weekend of Feb 13/14 our parish will take up the 131st annual NationalBlack and Indian Mission Collection.  Our support helps build the church in African American, Native American, and Alaska Native communities from coast to coast.  Schools, parish religious education programs, and diocesan ministries depend on your generosity to help them spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Good St. Anne, you were especially favored by God to be the mother of the most holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Savior. By your power with your most pure daughter and with her divine Son, kindly obtain for us the grace and the favor we now seek. Please secure for us also forgiveness of our past sins, the strength to perform faithfully our daily duties and the help we need to persevere in the love of Jesus and Mary. Amen.

    Parish Study Program for Lent

Classes will begin Feb 16 and Feb 18 (Tuesdays at 5:30) Thursday at 7:00

St. Ann’s will be offering a 10 week parish study program called, “Consoling the Heart of Jesus” beginning this Lent. This retreat gives us an awareness of God’s infinite mercy and showing us how to trust in Him completely.  It is a follow up to our previous study on consecration to Mary, 33 Days to Morning Glory done two years ago. Several options and times for joining in this powerful activity will be offered. Please contact the parish office or Mary Ann Duppong, 878-4167, for more information. Sign up in gathering space.

Prayer Blankets – we will begin a prayer Blanket ministry at St. Ann’s to give to ones that are in need of prayers and to new babies of our parish.    We have some fleece and will begin making some and would like more if you are willing to donate fleece.  For a blanket we need 1 ½ yd piece of 60 Inches wide fleece.

    Prayer for the Family

We bless your name, O Lord, for sending your own incarnate Son, to become part of a family, so that, as he lived its life,

he would experience its worries and its joys.

We ask you, Lord, to protect and watch over this family,

so that in the strength of your grace its members may enjoy prosperity, possess the priceless gift of your peace,

and, as the Church alive in the home, bear witness in this world to your glory. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Am

Prayer for the Protection of Religious Liberty

    O God our Creator,

Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit,
you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world,
bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel
    to every corner of society.

We ask you to bless us
in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty.
Give us the strength of mind and heart
    to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened;
give us courage in making our voices heard
on behalf of the rights of your Church
and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith.

Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father,
a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters
    gathered in your Church
in this decisive hour in the history of our nation,
so that, with every trial withstood
    and every danger overcome—
for the sake of our children, our grandchildren,
and all who come after us—
this great land will always be "one nation, under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
