Fathers of Mercy’s Father Ken Geraci will give a Parish Mission
St. Ann’s Church, Hebron
Missions begins each evening at 7 PM
Join us October 5-9 for our Parish Mission at St. Ann’s Church, Hebron entitled,” Renewal in Christ”. Fr. Ken Geraci, lived the life of the prodigal son for most of his young adult life. Raised in a nominal Catholic family, who only lived the externals of the faith, Fr. Ken left the Catholic Church for many years. During that time he earned a business degree and worked as a business profession in Advanced R&D and software testing; a few years into his career he joined a few of his co-workers in establishing a 4.5mil Internet software company. Focused on money, fitness and success, he made little room for God; but God did not give up on him. God presented him with challenges that forced him to question his personal beliefs and the question “What is Truth?” Through a series of conversions, years of struggle, study and questioning, Fr. Ken found his way back to the Catholic Church.
Fr. Ken joined the Fathers of Mercy in 2006 and was ordained in 2012. For the last two years he has served as the associate pastor of a 750 family parish and has recently been assigned to the Mission Band of the Fathers of Mercy. Fr. Ken has a great understanding of the personal and societal pressures that individuals face and knows what it is like to “hate coming to church.” This mission is for people of all levels of faith, from those who are madly in love with Jesus, to those who pretty much hate church and religion. Regardless of your level of belief come join us and be Renewed in Christ.

A Steubenville High School Youth Conference is a resource that addresses the needs of today’s Catholic youth. The conferences are organized on a national and regional level, with an exciting line-up of speakers, musicians, and presenters. The conferences will challenge the youth to stand firm in their faith, rely upon the awesome power of Jesus Christ who is their guide, friend, and Savior, and to show that faith to the world. A highlight of the weekend is the powerful time of Eucharistic Adoration. If your teens are beginning their personal walk with Christ, needing strength to continue the journey, or just ready to rejoice in the many blessings He has given, then this is the conference you are looking for! If any students from 8th grade through 12 grade are interested into going to Steubenville in 2015. If you are not familiar with conference here is the website: http://steubenville.org. Contact: Diane 878-4658 or 260-6876 We need to know as soon as possible as it takes a lot of preparing and New Salem may have room for us to go with them. This is usually held the 3rd weekend in July.

Prayer for the Protection of Religious Liberty
O God our Creator,
Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit,
you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world,
bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel
to every corner of society.
We ask you to bless us
in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty.
Give us the strength of mind and heart
to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened;
give us courage in making our voices heard
on behalf of the rights of your Church
and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith.
Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father,
a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters
gathered in your Church
in this decisive hour in the history of our nation,
so that, with every trial withstood
and every danger overcome—
for the sake of our children, our grandchildren,
and all who come after us—
this great land will always be "one nation, under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
